Joe Groh is a 30+ year veteran of the HVAC industry, having worked with leading firms such as Lennox Industries, Inc., Titus, and PCI Industries, Inc. He held many positions with Lennox ranging from Territory Manager to District Manager, to director level positions. At Titus, Joe was the Director of Product Development and at PCI Industries, Inc., he was the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

Joe’s immediate family consists of his wife Sue, sons Stephen and Eric, and a daughter Christie. Stephen recently graduated from college and is now employed as a Project Engineer for the Rail Division of a general contractor located in Chicago. Eric (20) was a student at Abilene Christian University where he also played football. In order to be closer to the family, Eric has transferred to the University of North Texas where he can assist in the abundance of care required by a quadriplegic. Daughter Christie, 16, will be a junior at Carroll Senior High where she is actively involved in Varsity Volleyball and Basketball.

On Fathers Day of 2008, Joe was critically injured in a bicycling accident near his home in Grapevine, Texas. As a result, Joe has been diagnosed as a C3 quadriplegic. While it is too early to know what the ultimate recovery will be, there is a very real possibility that his present condition may not change.

Joe is currently preparing his home for construction needed to facilitate his new lifestyle. Joe will be working throughout the summer of 2008 in order to prepare for reentry into a normal living environment. For those of you who know Joe, he is bringing an optimistic spirit to the hard fight which lies ahead.

Joe and his family have decided to set up this fund in order to allow those wishing to make a contribution to help offset both current and future medical expenses.

The Groh family thanks you for your love and support.
