On
Fathers Day of 2008, Joe was critically injured in a bicycling accident
near his home in Grapevine, Texas. As a result, Joe has been diagnosed
as a C3 quadriplegic. While it is too early to know what the ultimate
recovery will be, there is a very real possibility that his present
condition may not change.
Joe is currently preparing his home
for construction needed to facilitate his new lifestyle. Joe will
be working throughout the summer of 2008 in order to prepare for
reentry into a normal living environment. For those of you who know
Joe, he is bringing an optimistic spirit to the hard fight which
lies ahead.
Joe and his family
have decided to set up this fund in order to allow those wishing
to make a contribution to help offset both current and future medical
expenses.
